To show their support to Virlanie Foundation, Inc., FC Tile Depot donates more than 200 tiles for the refurbishment and modernization of one of Virlanie Foundation’s homes in November 2015.

Virlanie Foundation, Inc. describes itself as an NGO which cares for children in need of special protection – those who are among the poorest of the poor, the abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, and orphaned. It was established in 1992 by Dominique Lemay, a French social worker, with the help of his Filipino friends.

Virlanie’s 10 different homes are said to be in great need of refurbishment, modernization, and additions. Hence, the support of FC Tile Depot by donating tiles through the help of FairBuilding Network. The donation benefited Aime Home in Manila City.

Virlanie’s Aime Home is currently home to more than 26 vulnerable children which grow up in an environment that supports their development and learning. It plays a vital role in Manila City by fostering children with disabilities – most of which come from public institutions and government-run shelters for street children such as Reception and Action Center. Some children are also brought in Aime Home by their own families who cannot deal with the social stigma or afford the expensive medical treatment of their child. Virlanie does its best to ensure that these children receive special health care and assistance through their aid.

As written in the website of FairBuilding Network, Ms. Atafeh Zanjani, the VP of the marketing department of FC Tile Depot, expresses her sentiments:

“Getting to see the children from the MASAYA and AIME homes was a very humbling and gratifying experience. The FairBuiding Network is very noble in its cause, and we are absolutely thrilled and grateful to have been able to become a part of it.”

He also adds that he is looking forward to more partnerships and endeavours with FairBuilding Network.
